This is speculative news, but the prospect is exciting so I'm posting. The book series is an amazing read, and the movies have been made in Sweden. I've read elsewhere that a U.S. version is indeed in the works, and below there is a specific reference to Kristen as possibly playing the part of Lisbeth, who is such an interesting (anti)heroine. (And with George Clooney, yesssss...) For those who have read the books and watched the Swedish movies, what do you think?

Earlier this week here at Popcorn disclose that Sony Pictures is negotiating to buy the rights to the series Millennium, and now there is news for the project. In addition to highlighting the star George Clooney as the character Mikael Blomkvist, the actress who will interpret the Lisbeth Salander has no name.

Well, Kristen Stewart, Bella of the Twilight series, is listed to play the hacker in the trilogy Millennium. Kristen, like Clooney, is considered the only option of Sony, which already holds the rights to adapt.Also revealed two actresses who would like to interpret the hacker. Ellen Page and Natalie Portman have said they are interested in the role.
